What you must do BEFORE obtaining an iGaming license
Register a legal entity in Georgia
Before you can apply, you need a local company — an LLC or JSC, for example. The process is relatively simple and takes just one day.
Confirm the legal standing of beneficiaries in advance
Founders, directors, and partners must have no convictions for economic or serious crimes in their country of citizenship, no tax debts in Georgia, and a fully transparent source-of-funds history.
Obtain an authorization certificate
Your platform or site software must meet the requirements of Georgia’s Ministry of Finance. Proof comes in the form of an authorization certificate, issued separately by Random Systems Georgia — the same body that connects your platform to the national monitoring system.
Localize your operation in Georgia
You must provide two independent addresses: an office located in the country, and server infrastructure hosted in Georgia to run the gambling platform.
The full set of requirements for the international online-game organizer status stem from a set of laws, including the Law on the Organization of Lotteries, Games of Chance and Prize Games, the Law on License and Permit Fees, and the Law on Licenses and Permits. The regulations are hard to navigate alone, so we recommend engaging a contractor from the start.
