Highlights

Who could benefit from an accounting audit

Small and medium-sized businesses

Unlike large companies with assets of GEL 10 million or more, Georgian law does not oblige SMEs to undergo a mandatory audit, making it difficult to catch problems in time, with accounting errors adding up over years.

Branches of foreign companies

Head Office’s understanding of Georgian law may be imperfect, resulting in incorrect VAT, income, and expenses, creating a bottleneck for the whole group.

Start-ups and new companies

Start-ups can be chaotic, and accounting can get done on the fly. An audit will help ensure the business is standing on stable ground.

Those preparing annual reports

Financial statements should be based on the clean data evaluated by the tax authorities and partners. It’s the cornerstone of your reputation.

Other times the service can be useful:

  • When changing accountants and/or discovering errors in previous records;
  • When there is no accounting or it’s incomplete;
  • When you have been filing your own returns and have doubts about their accuracy;
  • When your accounting data differs from the data on the Revenue Service Portal.

    Salome Gulua

    Accountant

    I’m a Chief Accountant at PB Services, where I provide full accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services to a portfolio of small and medium-sized companies — both local and international — across a wide range of industries. I manage and supervise a team of accounting specialists, ensure compliance with IFRS and Georgian tax legislation, prepare monthly and annual financial statements and tax reports, and serve as the main point of contact for clients on accounting and tax matters.

    I bring more than fifteen years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting across the banking, consulting, and service sectors. Over my career I’ve handled full-cycle accounting for businesses of every size, mentored junior accountants, and supported tax and annual audits. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Financing and Banking from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, have completed ACCA papers, and keep my expertise current through ongoing training in the Georgian Tax Code and VAT regulations.

    Rezo Lazariashvili

    Tax and Audit Expert

    I’m part of the team at PB Services, where I review and audit the work of our accountants, resolve complex tax questions, and prepare tax rulings — helping ensure that everything we deliver to clients is accurate, compliant, and built on sound analysis. My focus is on the technical heart of our work: getting the difficult tax and financial questions right, and giving both our team and our clients clarity they can rely on.

    I bring a strong background in financial analysis and tax advisory to the role. As a financial analyst I built tailored financial models for large-scale real estate and hospitality projects and applied techniques such as NPV, WACC, and CAPM to evaluate feasibility and returns. Earlier, I progressed through tax intern, tax associate, and senior tax associate roles at BDO Georgia — supervising tax reviews, disputes, and planning — and worked as a junior accountant handling full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and reporting. I hold certifications in the Georgian Tax Code, accounting, and IFRS for SMEs.

  • Davit Maisuradze

    Davit Maisuradze

    Head of Bookkeeping

    I’m the Bookkeeping Team Leader at PB Services, where I lead our bookkeeping team and coordinate the day-to-day work that keeps our clients’ financial records accurate and up to date. I manage daily bookkeeping operations, prepare and record primary accounting documents, assign responsibilities across the team, and monitor progress to make sure everything is processed correctly and on time.

    I’ve grown into this role step by step. I started as a Junior Accountant, moved on to Accountant, and now lead the team — a progression that gave me a thorough, hands-on command of primary documentation, financial data processing, and the Balance accounting program, along with real experience in planning, delegation, and quality control. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and Banking from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

  • Tamuna Gasviani

    Tamuna Gasviani

    Head of Outsourcing

    I’m the Head of the Outsourcing Department at PB Services, where I lead our outsourced accounting, HR, and legal services and help small and medium-sized businesses build efficient back-office operations while staying fully compliant. My role brings together team leadership, client relationships, and operational oversight — from payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting to contract management and process optimization — always with an eye on helping our clients grow with confidence.

    I have over thirteen years of experience in accounting and tax consulting across Georgia and Russia. I built my career from the ground up — as an accountant, chief accountant, portfolio manager, and department head — managing accounting portfolios of up to fifty companies and guiding teams through complex financial and regulatory work. That depth gives me a thorough understanding of both the fine detail and the bigger strategic picture, which is exactly what I bring to leading our outsourcing services today.
